Duluth News Tribune: Duluth Superior Film Festival announces 2022 lineup

DULUTH — The Duluth Superior Film Festival has announced its 2022 lineup, led by a new feature starring Guy Pearce and directed by Minneapolis-based filmmaker Andrew Hunt.
"The Infernal Machine," which opens the festival on Sept. 22, has Pearce as a reclusive author who's forced to confront a horrific act of violence inspired by his novel. The film, which is being distributed by Paramount, is having a two-day Minnesota premiere that also includes a Sept. 21 screening in St. Louis Park under the auspices of the Twin Cities Film Festival.

Duluth Superior Film Festival: Bridging the Arts Communities of Duluth and Superior
The Duluth Superior Film Festival is proud to announce that its closing-day screenings and ceremonies will take place on September 25th, in the City of Superior at the Douglas County Historical Society. The screening will feature films by Wisconsin filmmakers or with settings or stories taking place in Wisconsin. Closing night ceremonies and a closing night party will follow the screenings.

DULUTH — Three established niche festivals have linked dates to create a 10-day event that caters to the creators of film, television and web-based content.
"It's more powerful to do them together," said Philip Gilpin, Jr., who is credited with the idea for the union. "It's a way to highlight that everybody is in the same boat and rowing in the same direction — to put Minnesota on the map as an industry leader in the content world."
