A recently heartbroken, electronics-addicted woman is the reluctant maid-of-honor at her best friend’s off-the-grid wedding in the woods, where she's forced to confront her ex-girlfriend, all of her more successful college friends, and every horrible choice she’s made in her life so far, until a chance meeting with a mysterious park ranger teaches Jess that the strongest force of nature at this wedding...might be her.

Director Mandy Fabian has been committed to doing female-driven comedy for years, creating The Young Hillary Diaries, Lifetime’s first digitals eries, and co-creating the Amazon series Dropping the Soap, which won Jane Lynch an Emmy for Best Actress in a Short Form Original. She’s a Sony Television Directing Program Fellow, was named "Best New Filmmaker of the Year” by New Filmmakers LA, and was one of six directors chosen to lead an all-female crew for the 2020 Women's Weekend Film Challenge.She co-hosts the podcast Mandcave with Mandy Kaplan, her latest screenplay, Late Bloomer, was chosen for the Meryl Streep/Oprah Winfrey Writers Lab.

Producer Mandy June Turpin is a producer/actor/director and holds a degree from UCLA. In addition to Jess Plus One, her producing credits include the feature film Merry Kiss Cam, streaming this fall on HULU, and the award-winning film Sunny Daze. Mandy is also in pre-production on the feature films Fleury written/directed by Michael Young, based on seven time NHL all star Theo Fleury, Looking For Group, a coming of age comedy set in the world of video games, and the thriller Body Language from the creators of The Conjuring and Annabelle. Additional producing credits include, the award-winning pilot series Doxxed, written/directed by Elaine Loh and the award winning, 10-episode series Uncorked, a web series, which she wrote, produced, and directed
